Vung Ang II Thermal Power Company Limited (VAPCO), located in Ha Tinh Province, Vietnam, is one of the country's key coal-fired power generation enterprises. Jointly invested by PetroVietnam (PVN) and several international energy partners, VAPCO serves as a core power source for the local grid supplying stable electricity to industrial and residential users in central Vietnam. With its generating units operating continuously under high loads year-round, the company places extremely high demands on the reliability, safety, and continuity of its supporting power equipment.

Project Introduction

In response to growing regional electricity demand, VAPCO initiated a new round of capacity expansion and equipment upgrades. In this expansion project, the coal handling system—as a critical link ensuring continuous coal supply to boilers—required multiple additional conveyor motors to meet increased coal conveying capacity demands.

Following rigorous technical evaluation and supplier selection, VAPCO ultimately chose Weima Electric as its conveyor motor supplier, procuring a total of five motors which are all used for driving belt conveyors in the coal handling system:

• Three TECO AFJK series high-voltage motors: 280kW, 355kW, and 400kW respectively

• One TECO AEZK series 400kW high-voltage motor

• One TECO AESV series 132kW low-voltage motor

• Activated priority green channel for overseas projects, prioritizing production scheduling with full order tracking，and regularly update clients on project progress. Before delivery, clients can conduct remote video acceptance of the five motors without leaving their location.
